Most of us are stuck with a birthday that lasts just 24 hours per year. Not Sven Hagemeier. The German made his 26th birthday stretch for almost two days and nabbed a Guinness World Record for his efforts. How'd he do it? Well, it involved a lot of air travel. Beginning in Auckland, New Zealand, on Aug. 4 last year, Hagemeier jumped between time zones in Brisbane, Australia, then Honolulu so the day stretched for 46 hours—making it the longest birthday ever, according to Guinness. As for his official record certificate, it made "an incredible present," Hagemeier says. (More world record stories.)
