Police are calling a quintuple murder in the Oklahoma city of Broken Arrow "almost unprecedented." Authorities received a 911 call described as a hang-up around 11:30pm last night and responded to a home in the Tulsa suburb to find five people, including juveniles, stabbed to death, reports KJRH. Another female teenager at the scene was in critical condition and taken to a hospital, reports the AP, while another child was uninjured. Authorities say two teens, 16- and 18-year-old males, ran from the home as police arrived. A canine unit traced them to a wooded trail behind the home; both were arrested.

Police say all nine people involved were family members who lived at the home, per BuzzFeed. A KJRH reporter on Twitter says authorities have now obtained a search warrant and are searching the home. "The crime scene has taken a pretty heavy toll on officers who have come out here," a police rep says. "It hits close to home...Our officers have a lot to take in." (More Oklahoma stories.)
