The controversy over the Confederate flag appears to have caught up with the Dukes of Hazzard. TV Land has stopped airing reruns of the show without explanation, reports Entertainment Weekly. The reason, however, seems clear enough: the Confederate flag atop the dukes' beloved Dodge Charger, the General Lee. Before the decision, Warner Bros. had stopped licensing General Lee merchandise, notes the Wall Street Journal. TV Land is owned by Viacom. Fans of the show, meanwhile, have launched a petition, complaining of "political correctness" run amok. (Read more Dukes of Hazzard stories.)
