Rose McGowan: Why My 'Wussy Agent' Dumped Me

Rose McGowan was not happy when she got an script for an audition with a wardrobe description instructing actresses to wear a "form-fitting tank that shows off cleavage (push-up bras encouraged). And form-fitting leggings or jeans." And her agent, apparently, was not happy when McGowan responded by tweeting that section of the casting note last week, along with a mention that the male lead of the film in question has a name that "rhymes with Madam Panhandler"—because yesterday, McGowan tweeted, "I just got fired by my wussy acting agent because I spoke up about the bullshit in Hollywood. Hahaha. #douchebags #awesome #BRINGIT."

McGowan confirmed to Entertainment Weekly this week that, yes, "Madam Panhandler" refers to Adam Sandler. "I’m not trying to vilify Adam Sandler," she said. "Although someone did tell me that when he did his Netflix deal, he said, 'I signed with Netflix because it rhymes with Wet Chicks.' I mean, what? What in the f--- is going on? No!" As E! notes, Sandler was recently criticized for wearing sweatpants to a Transylvania 2 photocall while co-star Selena Gomez wore a slinky red skirt and top (check out pictures in the gallery). As for McGowan's agents (or possibly former agents), they didn't respond to the Hollywood Reporter's request for a comment. (McGowan has a history of being outspoken on Twitter.)
