King James held court at the world’s most famous arena and scored 50 points against the hapless Knicks in the Cavaliers 119-105 win. James shot 16-for-30 from the field, including 7-of-13 from beyond the arc, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished 10 assists as Cleveland handed New York its fourth consecutive loss. Jamal Crawford led the Knicks with 25 points, reports the Associated Press.
The Knicks kept it close for most of the game and trailed 99-98 with four and a half minutes remaining, but James would nail consecutive 3-pointers and put the game out of reach. He is averaging over 42 points per game against the Knicks on the year. James left the court to a standing ovation from the New York crowd chanting, “MVP!” (More basketball stories.)
