A single-engine Cessna took off at sunset yesterday evening from Crooked Island in the Bahamas, heading toward Nassau. It never made it, crashing into the water, but the five people aboard—including an 8-month-old baby—did make it, floating on a life raft for three hours before being picked up by the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, reports NBC News.

The raft was found at around 10:20pm, about 9 miles southeast of Nassau, after rescue crews sent to look for the passengers spotted them from their MH-60 aircraft, ABC News notes. There were no injuries, notes a US Coast Guard press release, and a government statement says the survivors have already been treated at a Nassau hospital and released, per the New York Times.
