Another jolt for Star Trek fans: Nichelle Nichols, the actress who played Lt. Uhura, suffered a mild stroke last night, according to a post on her Facebook page. "She is currently undergoing testing to determine how severe the stroke was," says the post. Space.com notes that Nichols, now 82, busted barriers as an African-American actress, and her 1968 kiss with William Shatner was one of the first interracial kisses on TV. The news follows this year's death of Leonard Nimoy. (More Star Trek stories.)
