The Big Bang Theory's fictional scientists are looking to help real-life scientists. The show's co-creator Chuck Lorre, along with the cast and crew, has created a new scholarship at UCLA for low-income science students, and will give out 20 awards this fall, the New York Times reports. Including gifts from TBBT stars including Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, and Mayim Bialik, the Big Bang Theory Scholarship Endownment has raised more than $4 million so far. This year's winners will be announced on the sitcom's set; in future years, five scholarships will be awarded per year. (More The Big Bang Theory (sitcom) stories.)
