When Natali Castellanos-Tyler died after her car slid off a road near her home in Chesterfield County, Va., in late February, investigators blamed roads wet with sleet for what they thought was a one-car accident. But the mother of three's young daughter Elisa, who was in the car and survived the crash, has been having nightmares involving a white van—and her father is speaking out now that three recent reports of hit-and-run accidents on the same road involving a white delivery-type truck have popped up on Facebook. "The nightmares were in the nighttime and now they’re coming into the day," Craig Tyler tells WTVR. "She'll start screaming, 'The van, the white van!'" Says Tyler, "I'll say 'what happened with the white van' and she says 'it hurt me—it hurt my car!'"
The other reports involve a school bus, another mother, and a high school student, and those incidents occurred between March 29 and April 3. "It’s hard to imagine that somebody would purposely be doing this kind of thing," one mother said. "But three times in one week on the same road is, I feel, more than a coincidence." Chesterfield County Police say that while there's no evidence of another car in the fatal Feb. 21 accident, they are investigating the matter further. Meanwhile, donations for the family on GoFundMe have climbed to $15,000 thus far. (Another toddler survived a crash that killed her mom last month, even though she was submerged in water for hours.)
