Hillary Clinton's appearance on "Saturday Night Live" confirms not just that the show is back from the writers' strike, writes Matt Roush in TV Guide, but back "smack dab in the center of today’s political dialogue." The sight of Clinton and identically dressed alter ego Amy Poehler onstage was "an image no one will soon forget."
This week's episode was "otherwise hit-or-miss (mostly miss)," Roush writes, but the political moments resonated. And with Barack Obama's appearance on the last pre-strike show and Mike Huckabee's facetime last week, a "Weekend Update" cameo by Rudy Giuliani "hit one more political home run." Now Roush is on the lookout for John McCain. (More Saturday Night Live stories.)
