The San Jose Sharks beat the Columbus Blue Jackets on the strength of a three-goal second period and improved there road record to an impressive 20-8-3. The Sharks got contributions from everyone, including their newest player Brian Campbell, who they acquired in a trade from Buffalo. The defenseman had an assist in his San Jose debut, according to the Associated Press.
"I had fun out there tonight. It was nice,” the 28-year-old Ontario native said of his first game with his new team. San Jose also got strong efforts from Joe Thornton, who had two assists, and Joe Pavelski, who scored a goal and tallied an assist. Pascal Leclaire had 28 saves in the losing effort for Columbus.
