Malala Yousafzai was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize today, officially making her, at 17, the youngest-ever recipient of the prize. The Pakistani education advocate and joint winner Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian child-rights advocate, attended the award ceremony in Oslo today, and the Nobel committee noted the importance of a Muslim Pakistani and a Hindu Indian coming together in a "common struggle for education," the BBC reports. Before accepting the prize, Malala talked to the BBC about her future, noting, "If I can serve my country best through politics and through becoming a prime minister, then I would definitely choose that."
