Shaquille O'Neal's time in Phoenix hasn't elicited the desired results yet, unless losing 116-86 to Eastern Conference power Detroit is what the Suns had in mind when trading for the big man. The Pistons had scoring balance with six players in double figures and were dominant from midway through the second quarter through the end of the third, reports the Arizona Republic.

Rasheed Wallace had 22 points and point guard Chauncey Billups, with 14 points and 11 assists, outplayed counterpart Steve Nash to lead Detroit. Amare Stoudemire was the lone bright spot for the Suns with 31 points but got little help from Shaq and Grant Hill, who combined for only seven. Phoenix dropped to 22-3 against Eastern Conference teams this season. (More NBA stories.)
