Hours after video surfaced of Ray Rice punching then-fiancee and current wife Janay Palmer in a casino elevator, the Baltimore Ravens have released the controversial running back, reports the Baltimore Sun. The terminated contract represents a stunning turn of events for Rice, who was suspended by the NFL for just two games in the incident; he served one half of that in Baltimore's loss last night. The league this morning claimed that it hadn't seen the content of the video; the NFL later suspended Rice indefinitely, reports NFL.com. (Read more Ray Rice stories.)
