Jason Kidd's road to Dallas runs into more road blocks every day, and now the journey may never be completed, reports ESPN. Friday the NBA told the Mavericks that Jerry Stackhouse can be part of the trade with the New Jersey Nets, but he can’t return to the Mavs after 30 days if he is waived by the Nets.
The trade was originally blocked Wednesday by Devean George’s no-trade clause. Before the block, Stackhouse told the Associated Press "I get 30 days to rest, then I'll be right back.'' He said the plan was for the Nets to buy out his contract and then he would re-sign with Dallas after the mandated 30 days. Other team owner complained to league, which stepped in today with its ruling. (More NBA stories.)
