Karl Rove has evaluated President Obama's use of executive authority, particularly as it relates to his delayed deportation of some illegal immigrants, and he has found it more egregious than that of a couple of guys named George. Referring to his old boss, Rove says the Bush White House dismissed the notion that the president could legally exempt a "class of individuals" from immigration law. "The lawyers came back and said you have the ability to exempt individuals but no ability to exempt a class," he said today on Fox News, as per Politico. "And yet this president has exempted a class of people from enforcement of immigration laws." Which leads Rove to compare Obama to another George in history: "This is imperial power. This is George the Third. This is some monarch [saying]: ‘I am the law.'" (More Karl Rove stories.)
