Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's official wedding photo, which features the couple kissing in front of a wall of roses, apparently only came about after a lot of drama. Speaking on a Cannes panel today, West complained that after Annie Leibovitz pulled out of photographing the wedding—"she was, like, scared of the idea of celebrity," the rapper claimed—he still wanted the wedding photos to look as if Leibovitz had taken them, so he slaved over the rose wall photo for four days during his honeymoon with Kim. "Let me tell you something about that kiss photo that my girl put up … this was pissing my girl off during the honeymoon, she was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much," he said. "We sat there and worked on that photo for, like, four days because the flowers were off-color."

Things got less comprehensible from there: "Can you imagine telling someone who wants to just Instagram a photo, who’s the number one person on Instagram, 'We need to work on the color of the flower wall,' or the idea that it’s a Givenchy dress, and it’s not about the name Givenchy, it’s about the talent that is Riccardo Tisci—and how important Kim is to the Internet," West said, according to Page Six. "And the fact the number one most-liked photo [on Instagram] has a kind of aesthetic was a win for what the mission is, which is raising the palette." One thing, however, was clear: West was not happy with Leibovitz. "Why did Annie Leibovitz pull out one day before the wedding?" he concluded. The subject of the panel was technology and culture, the Daily Mail notes. (More Annie Leibovitz stories.)
