A priest is dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting at a Catholic church last night, the Arizona Republic reports. Police responded to a burglary call, made by one of the victims, at Mother of Mercy Mission Catholic Church in downtown Phoenix and found the two victims badly injured. One of the priests had gunshot wounds and died later in a hospital, CNN notes. The second priest's injuries aren't clear. A green 2003 Mazda Tribute was stolen from the church property but was found empty four blocks away. The suspects are still at large. (More Phoenix stories.)
