Did Marco Rubio ever smoke pot? The Florida senator has an answer for that one, and it is a decided non-answer, reports Politico: "Here’s the problem with that question in American politics: If you say you did, suddenly there are all these people saying ‘Well, it’s not a big deal, look at all these successful people who did it,'" Rubio said in an interview with Politics Confidential, adding that a parent once complained that his son said he didn't need good grades to be successful after Rubio's admission that he was a poor student. "On the other side of it," Rubio continued, "if you tell people that you didn’t, they won’t believe you."

So the 2016 contender is sticking with his position on pot, and not his experience with it: "I don’t want my kids to smoke marijuana, and I don’t want other people’s kids to smoke marijuana. I think there’s no responsible way to recreationally use marijuana." (More Marco Rubio stories.)
