A German family is recovering after a grandma, her daughter and daughter-in-law, and two grandsons, aged six and nine, were struck by lightning this week, the Local reports. The family was bringing outdoor furniture and toys inside during a storm when the daughter-in-law felt "some tingling from head to toe," she told newspaper Bild, per the BBC. "There was chaos. Everybody was just acting on autopilot. A few minutes later the ambulance arrived." All suffered minor injuries with the exception of the 9-year-old, whose situation was more serious. He had to be resuscitated in the yard by his father and grandpa, and was admitted to the hospital in serious condition. (More lightning strike stories.)
