Proof Richard Gere is good at his job: While playing a homeless man for his upcoming movie Time Out of Mind on Tuesday, a French tourist spotted him sifting through a New York City trash can and thought he was actually homeless—so she gave him leftover pizza from the meal she and her family had just eaten, the New York Post reports. Gere stayed in character and asked what was in the bag, and when Karine Gombeau told him, "He said, 'Thank you so much. God bless you,'" she says.

Gombeau didn't realize she'd just given her cold pizza to a celebrity until she saw a photo of herself doing just that in the Post two days later. "It was magical," she tells the paper. "I think he’s very handsome, even at his age. Pretty Woman was not my favorite movie, but I really loved Chicago." (More Richard Gere stories.)
