A Kentucky mail carrier felt he was a little too busy to deliver all his mail and will spend six months in prison as a result, reports the Courier-Journal. Authorities found about 45,000 pieces of mail set aside by William "Brent" Morse. "He wanted to speed up his route," says a police captain in Dawson Springs. "I think he was lazy." Maybe, but it takes industriousness to be lazy on this scale: Police found the mail stashed inside his dead mother's house and at a rented storage facility. Morse must pay about $15,000 in restitution to those on his route who lost money because of his work ethic—that includes businesses who advertising circulars went unread, notes the Justice Department. (Though at least he didn't throw the mail in the garbage, as a carrier on Long Island did.)
