Eduardo Hernandez, 45, pulled over to help Caroline Agreda and Anapaula Saldana, both 17, after the teens got in a car accident in Florida yesterday—and all three ended up dead. The teenagers were driving a Toyota Corolla around 3am when they collided with a Chevy Equinox. Hernandez, who was in a third vehicle, stopped to help. Then a fourth vehicle, a KIA Forte driven by 30-year-old Christopher Masferrer, slammed into the three of them and the SUV, police say. A witness says Masferrer appeared to be driving "at least 80mph."

Hernandez was just blocks from home, having just watched a boxing match at a relative's house, and his father and 8-year-old son were in the car with him, the Miami Herald reports. Hernandez's father asked him to just call police, but Hernandez insisted on pulling over; several other drivers also stopped. Masferrer and the 68-year-old driver of the Equinox were taken to a local hospital, and charges are pending, NBC Miami reports. Police say speed and alcohol may have been a factor. Another man who stopped to help says the teens appeared to run a flashing red light and hit the SUV as it went through a flashing yellow light; he says they insisted they weren't drunk, but were acting oddly.
