LeBron James finished with 33 points, and nearly a triple-double, as Cleveland survived the still KG-less Celtics 114-113 last night, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Daniel Gibson's defensive play sealed the deal, as the three-point specialist made a key steal with little more than forty seconds left, followed by a decisive rebound with 25 seconds on the clock.
"I take more pride in my defense," Gibson said simply after the game. Despite the crucial late stops, the contest was dominated by offense, the teams posting a combined 130 points at the half. "Not necessarily the way we like to win ball games, but I've got to give everyone in that locker room credit," said Cavs' coach Mike Brown. (More NBA stories.)
