For just the third time in Winter Olympics history, the United States has swept the podium, taking all three medals in the debut sport of men's slopestyle skiing, the AP reports. But while most expected an American to come out on top, not many thought it would be underdog Joss Christensen. Ranked No. 36 in the world, he guaranteed himself gold with a 95.80 score on his first run today—not bad for a guy who nearly missed the Olympics and didn't have a Wikipedia page as of a week ago, the Washington Post adds. Teammates Gus Kenworthy and Nicholas Goepper—the pre-competition favorite—took silver and bronze, respectively, with scores of 93.60 and 92.40, Bleacher Report notes.
