Chris Drury's two goals helped New York top New Jersey last night, 3-1, making them a perfect five-for-five against the Devils this season, reports the Times. The win also capped a stretch in which the Rangers got back into the Atlantic Division race with back-to-back divisional road wins. Brandon Dubinsky also scored, on a deflection off a Devils defenseman's stick.
"It was a big team effort, starting with the goaltender," said New York's Michal Rozsival, referencing teammate Henrik Lundqvist's 33 saves. The Devils, meanwhile, are only two points back of the Philadelphia Flyers in the Atlantic despite an embarrassing 0-7-3 record this season against the tri-state rival Rangers and Islanders. Zach Parise had their lone goal in the second period. (More hockey stories.)
