Mexico's ambassador to Germany isn't gonna take it: he's written to music label EMI to complain about the German hit "Finger in the Butt, Mexico," reports Der Spiegel. “The lyric has aroused great outrage among the Mexican community living in Germany,” he wrote, adding that the song used Mexico’s name in a “disrespectful and disgusting” way.

Responded Mickie Krause, the tune’s singer-songwriter: “It looks like the ambassador has too much time on his hands, if he can spend so much time worrying about a finger in the butt." He insists it’s all in fun, and that he adds raunchier lyrics about Bosnia-Herzegovina in live performances, and “nobody has gotten worked up about that." (More pop music stories.)
