When celebrity interviews go wrong: Radar rounds up 24 of the absolute weirdest and craziest sit-downs. A sampling:

  • Princess Diana, separated from Prince Charles and having learned he cheated on her, told Martin Bashir, "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded."
  • Michael Jackson admitted to Bashir in 2003 that he shared a bed with young boys and called himself "Peter Pan," but he called the bed-sharing "sweet" and "loving," not sexual.
  • Less than a month before she filed for divorce, Robin Givens talked to Barbara Walters with Mike Tyson. Tyson was silent while Givens called their relationship "torture, pure hell, worse than anything I could possibly imagine."
  • Talking to Larry King in 2003, Heather Mills took off her artificial leg on-air and let King hold it.
  • In 2007, King asked Jerry Seinfeld if his show had been canceled. "You think I got canceled?" Seinfeld replied. "You’re under the impression that I got canceled? I thought that was pretty well documented. Is this still CNN? That was the number one show on television, Larry. Do you know who I am?" King ended up apologizing.

  • Who can forget Charlie Sheen's 2011 sit-down with Andrea Canning, an instant classic in which he famously said, "I am on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen," and referred to himself as "a high priest, a warlock."
  • After Robert Blake was acquitted of murdering his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, he talked to Piers Morgan and ended up going on a tear against the "rotten bastard cops that ripped my guts out and left me beside the road to die." He ended by threatening the police, "I’ll get to you sons of b----es later! Don’t think you’re going to get off the hook."
  • Howard Stern asked Jesse James who was better in bed: ex-wife Sandra Bullock or James' current girlfriend, Kat Von D. James called the question "an easy no-brainer" and chose Kat "100%."
  • During a 2003 sideline interview, an obviously intoxicated Joe Namath slurred to Suzy Kolber, "I wanna kiss you."
  • Mel Gibson didn't want to answer questions about his DUI arrest and anti-Semitic rant during a 2010 interview with Dean Richards, angrily asking the interviewer to "move on." At the end of the sit-down, Gibson said, "Bye bye, a--hole!" He apparently didn't know the cameras were still recording.
