Nokia Introduces New Windows Tablet, Phablet
The Nokia Lumia 2520.   (Nokia)

With Apple preparing for its (possibly iPad-themed) event in San Francisco today, Nokia is making some noise of its own over in Abu Dhabi. The device maker has added several new gadgets to its lineup, including a Windows tablet and a big-screen phone, or phablet. The new Lumia 1520 phone boasts a 6-inch screen, making it slightly bigger than the Samsung Galaxy Note III, and it offers a 1080p display. Now you'll be able to fit three rows of tiles on the screen; the standard had been two, TechHive notes. The device will go for $749 without taxes or subsidies, USA Today reports.

Then there's the Lumia 2520 tablet with Windows RT 8.1. It's also got a 1080p display, this one 10.1 inches, and it also can be 80% charged in an hour. The 2520, according to Nokia, is the only tablet out there with true offline maps via the integrated HERE app. It's set to cost $499 on AT&T later this year. (Read more Nokia stories.)
