George Zimmerman's wife Shellie isn't holding back now that she's filed for divorce. In an interview with ABC News that aired today, the 26-year-old says her soon-to-be ex-husband has a temper, is verbally abusive and "selfish," and was left feeling "invincible" after his acquittal. "I think I'm realizing that I have been married to a person for almost 7 years, and I don't think that I ever really knew him at all," she said, adding Zimmerman has been "making some reckless decisions" lately and has spent no more than four nights at home since the acquittal.
"I stood by my husband through everything and I kind of feel like he left me with a bunch of broken glass that I'm supposed to now assemble and make a life," she said. "It's just heartbreaking ... I think George is all about George." She said "it was just time" to get a divorce, and that the two did try counseling. According to the divorce filing, which cites an "irrevocably broken" marriage, Shellie is asking for an equal share of their debts and assets, including any money Zimmerman may get from his defamation suit against NBC, and wants their two dogs.
