And just like that, Simon Cowell has put the rumors to rest ... by confirming them. He is, indeed, going to be a father for the first time, by way of his (former) friend's (former) wife's baby, he acknowledged. "I'm proud to be a dad," Cowell told the BBC at last night's London premiere of a documentary about boy band One Direction. "It's something I hadn't thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it. ... Things are changing in my life right now, for the better."
