The woman who directed her pony into McDonald's—where it pooped on the floor—says she's surprised at the media reaction. "I think over the last couple of years, we've been to that McDonald's at least half a dozen times on the horses," UK mom Christine McGrail tells the Telegraph. Pony "Minnie likes McFlurries. Whenever we've got them, we've ended up having to get two spoons." (The Telegraph clarifies that McGrail actually stayed outside with her own horse, but had daughter Olivia take 6-year-old pony Minnie inside.)

As for fellow diners, "I didn't see anyone in there who was terrified. Everyone saw the funny side," she says. And anyway, she should have been allowed to take her horse through the drive-thru, as was her original intention: "Horses are classed as carriages under the Highway Code, and we obviously traveled on the roads quite legally to get there."
