A 60-year-old woman found herself—and her car—trapped in a sinkhole yesterday in Toledo, Ohio. The hole was some 10 feet deep, but Pamela Knox was able to extricate herself using a ladder, the Toledo Blade reports. She was hospitalized but appeared unhurt. The hole formed as a result of a sewer collapse, says a rep for the city. "We had a lot of rain lately and something must have washed out under the road," said Mayor Mike Bell. Crews were able to pull the car out hours later. (More Toledo, Ohio stories.)
