Police have issued an arrest warrant for Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez in connection with the murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, ABC News reports. While police haven't yet ruled out Hernandez as a suspect in the murder itself, the warrant is only for obstruction of justice. Police believe Hernandez destroyed evidence, including the security system and videos from his home, and his cellphone, which he handed to police "in pieces."

WBZ backs up the report, and its source adds that the charges could eventually be upgraded. There appears to be strong evidence—including, reportedly, video images—indicating that Hernandez was with Lloyd the night he was shot in the head. The two friends were together at several nightclubs that weekend. Lloyd's body was found less than a mile from Hernandez's home. Fox 25 spotted Hernandez meeting with attorneys from a prestigious law firm yesterday. (More Aaron Hernandez stories.)
