Half of a five-story apartment building collapsed in Mumbai today, killing at least one elderly woman and injuring four others, the AFP reports. At least 20 more are believed to be trapped in the rubble. "Rescue operations are on, but they are difficult due to the heavy rain," a police inspector said. The accident comes two days into India's monsoon season, which has already brought flooding and traffic jams to Mumbai. It's also just two months removed from a seven-story building collapse on the outskirts of the city that killed 74, to say nothing of other recent high-profile collapses worldwide, like this one. And this one. And this one. (More Mumbai stories.)
