Oscar Pistorius was back in the public eye today for the first time since he was bailed in February on charges of murdering girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The double-amputee Olympian appeared at a brief court hearing in Pretoria, where a magistrate agreed to a request from both the prosecution and defense to delay his trial until Aug. 19, the BBC reports. Pistorius—who says he shot Steenkamp on Valentine's Day after mistaking her for an intruder—will remain free on bail, the AP reports. His family said they were "shaken" by the broadcast of photos of the bloody crime scene days before the hearing. (More Oscar Pistorius stories.)
