White House staffers have to take an unpaid day off starting with the May 1 pay period thanks to the sequester, and Politico uses the opportunity to round up some high-profile salaries. (It's not clear how many total days the staffers will lose.)

• Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser: $172,200
• Heather Zichal, deputy assistant to the president: $140,000
• Gene Sperling, director of the National Economic Council: $172,200
• Dan Pfeiffer, senior adviser: $172,200
• Alyssa Mastromonaco, deputy chief of staff: $172,200
• Jeanne Lambrew, deputy assistant to the president for health policy: $158,500
