Parents of Trayvon Martin Settle With Homeowners

Trayvon Martin's parents have settled their wrongful-death claim with the Florida homeowners association where their son was shot to death last year, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Neither side is divulging the amount, but the newspaper thinks it's more than $1 million because the parents rejected an earlier offer of that amount. George Zimmerman—who was patrolling the Retreat at Twin Lakes subdivision in Sanford as a Neighborhood Watch volunteer when he shot 17-year-old Trayvon—was not involved with the deal.
