Panthers big man DeJuan Blair continued to excel in his freshman campaign, snagging 15 points and nine rebounds despite conceding seven inches to the Hoyas' goliath center, Roy Hibbert (7'2"). Pitt is 4-1 since losing starting point guard Levance Fields, whose injury was followed by Mike Cook's one game later; replacements Ronald Ramon and Keith Benjamin had 18 points apiece. The game also served as venue for a recruiting visit from local high school quarterback and audience member Terrelle Pryor, the country's top football prospect. (More NCAA football stories.)
