(AP Photo/Rafiq Maqbool) A new insider attack in Afghanistan has left five people dead, two of them Americans, say officials. As US troops visited a police station in Wardak province, an Afghan officer reportedly opened fire. Two US troops and three Afghan police were killed in the ensuing skirmish, the AP reports. The clash occurred a day after the Afghan-set deadline for US special forces—which make up the majority of US troops in Wardak—to exit the province. Last month, 17 police officers were killed in a particularly deadly insider attack. (More insider attacks stories.) Report an error
