Nurse's Suicide Notes Address Hoax, Slap Hospital

The three suicide notes left by nurse Jacintha Saldanha each addressed a different topic: One discussed the prank call by Australian DJs, another dealt with funeral preparations, and a third leveled criticism at Saldanha's hospital colleagues. Her family has received typed versions of each note, insiders tell the Guardian. A Labor party MP is now serving as the family's spokesman.

Keith Vaz has sent a letter to the King Edward Vll hospital's chief executive seeking the "full facts, from the time she took the call from 2Day FM to the time she was found in her accommodation." The information is to be relayed to the family. Meanwhile, a hospital rep says the facility's bosses, who haven't read the notes, "were very clear that there were no disciplinary issues" following the hoax call. "It was made clear (the call's recipients) were victims of a cruel journalistic trick," and they had the hospital's "full support," she said.
