"My name is Lance Armstrong. I am a cancer survivor. I'm a father of five. And yes, I won the Tour de France seven times." That's how the cycling legend introduced himself at a cancer conference yesterday, even though, at least officially, that final part is no longer true. Armstrong's speech yesterday was mostly about his battle with cancer, but he did touch on the doping scandal briefly, explaining the impact it would, or wouldn't, have on his charitable work, the AP reports.

"I think the real issue here is one of distraction," he said. "I'm going to tell this to you all as if you're friends and partners and allies. I'm not going to be distracted from this fight." The USADA last Thursday stripped Armstrong of his tour titles, along with the rest of his competitive wins dating back to 1998, over doping allegations. (More Lance Armstrong stories.)
