Cho's Macabre Plays Warned Of Violence

Ian MacFarlane, a former classmate of Seung Cho, blogs on AOL about two plays written by the Virginia Tech killer for a writing class. The short pieces, along with other compositions, writes MacFarlane, were "like something out of a nightmare," imagining bizarre murders and exuding an obsession with revenge.

In one one-act, "Richard McBeef," a child and his stepfather engage in a violent argument that leads to a gruesome murder. The other, Mr. Brownstone, is a meandering and scatological story with frequent references to anal rape. According to MacFarlane, Cho's writing provoked "serious worry about whether he could be a school shooter." (Read more Seung-Hui Cho stories.)
