Yesterday, a man survived a drop over the Canadian Horseshoe section of Niagara Falls; today, another person has apparently plunged over the falls on the US side, reports the Buffalo News. The rocks on the American side make survival unlikely, "but we've got to keep looking," says a New York State Parks official. "We're trying to keep our eyes on the water now."

Authorities believe it was a suicide attempt. Meanwhile, officials says the 40-something man who went over the falls yesterday is likely to survive a collapsed lung and other injuries. (Click to read about a tightrope walker who plans to cross the falls next month.)
