Creative resume writing is not paying off for embattled Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson, who is about to step down from the tech giant's helm, reports Kara Swisher in an exclusive for AllThingsD. He'll likely be replaced by Yahoo's global media chief, Ross Levinsohn, who presumably has a squeaky-clean CV. Yahoo's board, meanwhile, is nearing a settlement with shareholder Daniel Loeb, who discovered Thompson's claim to a computer science degree was bogus. Loeb will get three of four board seat selections he proposed. The board is meeting today. (More Scott Thompson stories.)
