Controversial neurosurgeon-turned-diet guru Jack Kruse was kicked off a cruise ship, where he was supposed to give a lecture, after a bogus tweet warned of a bioterror attack. Kruse was questioned after authorities were tipped off to a tweet reading: "Security confiscated dynamite. Talk won't be as explosive as one at PaleoFx. Still have vial of Legionnaires for epic biohack." The tweet was posted on the "shitkrusesays" Twitter account, which parodies Kruse and his teachings, the Tennessean reports. The account has now been deleted.

Police, the FBI and the Coast Guard cleared Kruse after searching his cabin, but the captain of the 5th Annual Low-Carb Cruise refused to let him reboard, saying he "felt it was in the best interest of all my guests to err on the side of caution," reports the Houston Chronicle. The experience was "surreal," says Kruse. "Having the room completely trashed, and I was asked all of these crazy questions. I had no idea what they were talking about." Kruse believes the tweet was the work of people trying to discredit his teachings, which include "cold thermogenesis," a treatment involving the use of ice baths to aid weight loss.
