Authorities have officially closed the investigation of Whitney Houston's death and will not be filing any charges, reports E! Online. "We have determined that this is not a criminal matter," the Beverly Hills Police Department said in a statement. That had been a possibility given the traces of cocaine found in Whitney's body and hotel room. The singer died on February 11 after drowning in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. TMZ has the 911 call from a hotel staffer. (More Whitney Houston stories.)
