Specter: Romney Changes Positions Like a Porn Star

If Arlen Specter told a joke in the woods and there were no one there to hear it, well, at least there would be a lot fewer of us holding our heads and groaning. The former senator, who's spent his voter-mandated retirement ostensibly dabbling as a comedian, is now cracking wise on Mitt Romney, reports Politico. “The Republican Party has moved so far to the right, you can’t recognize Mitt Romney. What Mitt Romney will appear in October? Mitt Romney has changed positions more often than a pornographic movie queen,” Specter cracked on MSNBC this morning.

Specter later 'fessed up that the originator of that line was really "Bill Ross," or "Bill Maher," as he's more commonly known outside of Specter's head. But wait! There's more! Daily Intel picks up on another racy Specter-ism, this from the tome he's currently hawking, Life Among Cannibals. In it, Specter describes a ride on John McCain's 2008 campaign bus, in which he sat next to Sarah Palin: “We were sitting virtually knee to knee in the cramped bus. She radiated sensuality. Her skirt rode above her knees—not exactly short, but close.” Whew. (More Arlen Specter stories.)
