Sarah Palin says she won't rule out entering the White House race if the Republicans end up with an open convention in August. "Anything is possible. I don't close any doors that perhaps would be open out there, so, no, I wouldn't close that door," she told CNN after voting in Alaska's Republican caucuses. "My plan is to be at that convention." Palin declined to tell CNN who she voted for, but told Fox she picked Newt Gingrich, calling him "the cheerful one."
Palin said she was happy to see the nominating process lasting a long time. "I want more people to have a say in who the nominee should be," she said. "I want to see the process continue, more debate about who it is who can bust through the Orwellian Obama rhetoric and pandering that we see in the incumbent." Asked about the Rush Limbaugh controversy, she responded: "The definition of hypocrisy is for Rush Limbaugh to have been called out, forced to apologize and retract what it is that he said in exercising his First Amendment rights."
