After more tumultuous Rush Limbaugh headlines, the leading Republican candidates criticized the popular radio host yesterday. At least a little bit. Rick Santorum called Limbaugh's "slut" comments about law student Sandra Fluke "absurd," reports CNN. "He's being absurd, but that's you know, an entertainer can be absurd," said Santorum. "He's in a very different business than I am."
Mitt Romney also criticized Limbaugh's comments, but quickly moved back to talk about other issues, according to ABC News. “I'll just say this, which is it’s not the language I would have used," Romney told reporters. "I’m focusing on the issues I think are significant in the country today and that’s why I’m here talking about jobs and Ohio.” In addition, House Speaker John Boehner said Limbaugh's comments were "inappropriate." President Obama called Fluke yesterday to thank her for stepping forward. (More Rush Limbaugh stories.)
